Japan

I have been many places, but Japan is probably the closest I have ever come to being culture shocked. There is a unique blend of endless city, calm shinto shrines, technology, old world, and new. It is also the first time I have visited a country and been completely illiterate and unable to communicate. It was a wonderful and challenging trip. You can see photos of the trip here.
